Blessed Junipero Serra The Serra Club is a Catholic organization devoted to promoting vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

At the time of Serra’s formation in 1935, there were two great needs for the Church. First, to support dedicated priests and the religious. Also, to bring together informed Catholic lay leaders who understood and lived their own Christian vocations to service. These needs have not changed.
The objectives of Serra are:
  • To foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church, as a particular vocation to service and to support priests in their sacred ministry
  • To encourage and affirm vocations to consecrated religious life in the Catholic Church
  • To assist members to recognize and respond in their own lives, to God’s call to holiness in Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit
Our Club is part of District 30 which includes clubs in the Archdiocese of Miami, and those in the Dioceses of Palm Beach, St. Petersburg, and Venice, Florida. Read more about us. We meet the 1st Saturday of each month for Mass followed by a breakfast meeting at Westchester Country Club, 12250 Westchester Club Dr., Boynton Beach, FL (561) 369-1000.

Vocations Chalice Program

The Serra Vocations Chalice Program involves families in vocations awareness by inviting a family each week to pray daily for vocations. The family assigned for the week receives the chalice from the celebrant at Sunday Mass, places it on the mantel or dining room table at home, and says a prayer or two daily for vocations.

Vocations prayers can be found on our Vocations page.
